(Matthew 6: 9)
Praying is walking along a known path.
It is not a conversation with a stranger, nor does it mean walking through an unexplored desert and we do not have to build anything.
Jesus pointed out what to do to find the way to the depth of God's riches, wisdom, and knowledge.
We turn to our Father, whose place is in heaven, has a name that is holy, his kingdom is desirable, and he must do what is best, both above and below.
As a loving and good parent he will know what to do in response to the request to keep us alive by giving us bread for today. Bread for today means that we trust him for tomorrow and then.
We ask for forgiveness by signaling that our heart is surrendered and understands that "you will have what you give to others".
We need your safety against ourselves and against the tempter, the Devil.
And we finish saying: you're the commander! You may do whatever you want. You are fascinating and I want to continue to be delighted by you.
Amen!
Nothing new. Recognition, needs and surrender. They will lead us to intimacy and make the journey easier as many times as necessary.
